cons - HP300 console interface
This release supports a ``virtual'' console device used for
kernel printf
messages and accessed in user mode via /dev/console. It is
virtual in
the sense that it is attached to a hardware interface at
boot time. Currently
the choices are limited to: a bit-mapped display
(grf(4)) acting
as an Internal Terminal Emulator (ITE), a serial interface
(apci(4) or
dca(4)), or a null console, in that order.
/dev/console
apci(4), dca(4), grf(4), intro(4), ite(4), tty(4), reboot(8)
It should be possible to specify potential console devices
at config(8)
time.
