FMMAKEFONT(3W)							FMMAKEFONT(3W)

NAME    [Toc]    [Back]

     fmmakefont	- associate a transformation matrix with a font

SYNOPSIS    [Toc]    [Back]

     #include <fmclient.h>

     fmfonthandle fmmakefont(fh, matrix)
     fmfonthandle fh;
     double matrix[3][2];

DESCRIPTION    [Toc]    [Back]

     fmmakefont	concatenates the provided matrix to the	matrix associated with
     this instance of the font,	returning a new	handle.	When the font is
     imaged, this matrix is inspected to determine the proper scaling,
     shearing, rotation, or combination	of these, for the imaging. This
     operator is more general than fmscalefont,	which applies uniform scaling
     only.

SEE ALSO    [Toc]    [Back]

     fminit(3W), fmfontpath(3W), fmsetpath(3W),	fmscalefont(3W),
     fmsetfont(3W), fmconcatpagematrix(3W), fmgetpagematrix(3W),
     fminitpagematrix(3W), fmrotatepagematrix(3W), fmscalepagematrix(3W)

NOTES    [Toc]    [Back]

     Subsequent	use of any of the routines discussed on	the fmmatrix man page
     can cause a different transformation of the font to be either described
     (by fmgetfontinfo or fmprstr) or imaged. The page	matrix is always
     concatenated with the font	matrix before imaging a	string or giving out
     information about a font.

NOTE    [Toc]    [Back]

     This routine is available only in immediate mode.
