t_unbind(3N)							  t_unbind(3N)

NAME    [Toc]    [Back]

     t_unbind -	disable	a transport endpoint

SYNOPSIS    [Toc]    [Back]

     #ifdef _XOPEN_SOURCE
     #include <xti.h>
     #include <tiuser.h>

     int t_unbind (int fd);

DESCRIPTION    [Toc]    [Back]

     The t_unbind function disables the	transport endpoint specified by	fd
     which was previously bound	by t_bind(3N).	On completion of this call, no
     further data or events destined for this transport	endpoint will be
     accepted by the transport provider.

     This function resides within both the X/Open compliant libxnet and	the
     SVR4 compliant libnsl Network Services libraries.	Network	Services
     applications which	require	X/Open compliance must link-load with -lxnet.
     Network Services applications which require SVR4 compliance must linkload
 with -lnsl.

     On	failure, t_errno may be	set to one of the following:

     TBADF The	specified file descriptor does not refer to a
		    transport endpoint.

     TOUTSTATE The	function was issued in the wrong sequence.

     TLOOK An asynchronous event has occurred on this transport

     TSYSERR A system error has occurred	during execution of this

SEE ALSO    [Toc]    [Back]

DIAGNOSTICS    [Toc]    [Back]

     t_unbind returns 0	on success and -1 on failure and t_errno is set	to
     indicate the error.
