     checkPassword - confirm a user password

SYNOPSIS    [Toc]    [Back]

     /usr/sysadm/privbin/checkPassword -l login-name

DESCRIPTION    [Toc]    [Back]

     checkPassword is used to confirm a	password for a particular user
     account.  The password is supplied	via stdin so that it is	not visible on
     the process command line.

     The checkPassword command has the following required parameter:

     -l	login-name
	  The login name of the	user account whose password is being checked.

DIAGNOSTICS    [Toc]    [Back]

     If	the login name is invalid or the password supplied via stdin is
     invalid, checkPassword will terminate with	a non-zero exit	code.  If the
     password is valid,	checkPassword will terminate with exit code zero.
